Introduction of Tong Ge Chief Expert of GHE

Mr.Tong Ge (pen name) is a scholar and a writer, born in 1950. Ever been the editor of two famous magazines. In the early 1990s, quitted his jobs and started research and advocacy as an independent researcher outside of systerm. He is the Chief Expert of GHE, the chairman of Chinese Gay Health Forum, etc.  

Mr. Tong Ge has published 14 kinds of works on folklore, sociology, literature, and biography and over 700 works in various sorts.

Mr. Tong Ge is one of the pioneers of Chinese modern homosexual literature. He has wrote of a lot of literature works on homosexuality and published the first homosexual novel collection ‘ The Good Man Rogge ’ in HongKong.

As the influential private researcher and advocator in Chinese homosexual group, he has actively taken part in various promotion and community support activities for many years. Besides, he makes a big success in the research and method application in the fields of sexuality（esp. the sexual minority filed）, gender, AIDS intervention of homosexuals. What’s more, he has finished many finding research reports, such as  ‘Sexuality and Expression of self Identities in Chinese MSM Community ’ and ‘An Inquiry into Commercial Sex in MSM Community in China ’, and over 140 relevant papers and articles, many of which fill the blank of the research in the field in China and raise great awareness home and abroad.

The research and opinions of Tong Ge have positive influence on gender equality, anti-discrimination of sexual minorities, advocating of theories and policies on anti-AIDS, construction and development of communities, education on the public, etc.
