Program for AIDS Intervention Mode of Family-pattern MSM Sex

Sponsored by Global Fund AIDS Office Round 4 and implemented by Beijing Gender Health Education  Institute (GHE), Program for AIDS Intervention Mode of Family-featured MSM Workers has launched recently.

After discussion, it was finally decided that Tong Ge, Chief Expert of GHE who had filled the blank of the field in China with the research report, “An Inquiry into Commercial Sex in MSM Community in China”, should preside over the program.  In addition, Doctor Cao Ningxiao from STD Section, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, who had carried out intervention programs for MSM workers and has much experience of social practices in this area, Mr. Zheng Huang, leader of Shanghai Leyi Non-profit Organization who provides non-profit health care services for MSM workers, as well as organizations of volunteers for MSM community from three cities that are very experienced in this field, were invited to form the Program Cooperation Group.

The Institute has assigned special personnel for program administration and assisted the Program Group in communications, data processing, and so on.  Up till now, the project coordinator has set about the work of investigation.
