From January 1th to 2th 2008, under the entrustment of the volunteer wok committee of the Chinese SD and AIDS Prevention Organization, cooperating with relevant community organizations, the BJHEI held a two-day trainging program for MSM HIV Infected persons in
In order to conduct this training well, in advance, BJHEI convened directors from communities of HIV infected persons, assessed their needs in aspects of the treatment, self identification and protection, social and community support, seriously designed the training method, and selected hosts for each sector of the program.
In the participative form, trainees, together with relevant experts experienced directors and key members of community organizations for HIV infected persons, fully involved in discussion on every topic issue, such as the “AIDS discrimination”, “treatment needs and related experience”, and “safe sexual behaviours”, etc. while sharing precious and useful information.
It was considered by infected participants that the training program conveyed abundant information, which rectified pre-existing misunderstandings and applied to pratical requirement. Trainees also affirmed that they would pass on the course message to friends surrounding them, and expressed their hope to hold more similar programs by continually endeavouring to acquire social support.
